We serve our community
We seek to be a 'learning community', with a 'hand-up' approach, offering aid through community meals and food parcels; education through parenting courses, cooking classes, driver licensing assistance and the like; along with kids holiday programmes and afternoon kids club.
Beyond immediate practical needs we also offer counselling and advocacy services; and provide facilities and resources for local community events; and run community events of our own.
Early Childhood Education and Care Centre
We educate and care
Our Childcare Centre is fully licenced and MOE funded. We help tamariki to be ‘ready, willing & able to learn’ - encouraging social interaction, exploration, oral communication, positive role-modelling, social competency, and resiliency through fun learning opportunities.
We partner with whānau to help them take ownership of their tamariki’s life-long learning experiences.
We are centred on Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is at the centre of Te Whānau Pūtahi. We encourage every person to seek & find a personal relationship with God (Atua) so that we all find wholeness and purpose in our lives.
We teach, learn from, seek to follow, and are transformed by the Word of God (The Bible). All aspects of our work and operation encompass and reflect Christian values and beliefs, and will be carried out with pono (integrity) and whakamana (high-quality).
